Dr. Natalie Roberts

Welcome to Insight Psychology Hampshire, a specialist service offering evidence-based therapies and neurodevelopmental assessments across the lifespan.

Qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2006, Natalie worked mainly within an NHS child and adolescent service and latterly all age independent  practice, gaining extensive experience of working with a broad range of mental health difficulties and complexity. Natalie uses evidence-based therapies offering tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of the people she works with.

Natalie is dedicated to providing compassionate, holistic and clinically grounded support.

Natalie has worked in the NHS since 1999, and completed her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at the University of Southampton, qualifying in 2006. She held a senior role as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Professional Lead for Psychology within Hampshire CAMHS until May 2025. Natalie was also the mental health lead for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthier Together. Natalie continues to teach on the doctoral training course at the University of Southampton. In addition to her clinical work, Natalie received a PG Cert in Clinical Supervision from the University of Reading. She is a trained trainer for the ADOS-2, used in the diagnosis of autism. She has presented at international and national conferences.

Natalie is an integrative therapist, trained in a number of psychological approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), trauma focussed therapy, such as eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness, somatic psychotherapy and compassion focussed therapy. An integrative approach means that therapy can be individually tailored to meet the unique needs of each client with a focus on adaptive  transformation.

Natalie has extensive knowledge and experience in the assessment and diagnosis of neurodiversity (autism and ADHD) and in working therapeutically with people that are neurodiverse.
